Using Capscan’s Special Software Developers Kit, version 1.5, Capscan developed a special customised Address Search for searchUK’s site. Visitors to the searchUK site can locate an address by using the Address Search feature. Users simply enter a partial address, such as a postcode, or a business name and town and Matchcode provides all relevant matches including full address details, and phone and fax (business only) numbers. Besides the Postcode Address File (PAF) of over 27 million addresses, the searchUK Address Search also includes Capscan’s Matchcode Commercial Database as an alternative source of business names. Information including a fully scalable OS map of the location and links to useful sites are also listed on the site.

Furthermore, searchUK Address Search also ensures the privacy of the individual by differentiating between business and residential addresses and intelligently limiting details, including phone and fax for all residential addresses. The database is maintained by the Royal Mail and is regularly updated, ensuring its accuracy at all times.
