Based at Orpington in Kent, IequalsP was formed by a number of skilled and experienced data processing and IT experts to provide software and service solutions to the Direct Marketing industry. cygnus is a broad functioning solution for Name and Address processing. It allows direct marketers to extract optimum value from datasets, by providing a powerful set of tools to improve the data and manipulate it to suit their exact needs. Whilst there are many suppliers that offer address verifying, deduping, managing multiple lists or databases and address cleansing, cygnus is the only product which is able to tie all these tasks together under one simple-to-use graphic user interface (GUI).
To power cygnus' name and address cleansing functionality, IequalsP integrated Capscan's leading Matchcode solution. Matchcode adds to cygnus' functionality by providing it with the ability to bulk clean address data. By comparing records with the 27 million addresses in Royal Mail's Postcode Address File (PAF), Matchcode ensures the information is as up-to-date and accurate as possible. It can also identify abbreviations, mis-spellings and partial addresses, and replace these with the missing address elements or postcodes.
IequalsP chose to use Capscan's Matchcode because it was impractical for them to develop an addressing solution from scratch, as this would require considerable amount of time and resource. Before making their choice however, IequalsP undertook a thorough analysis of the marketplace.
