Capscan’s Matchcode Software Now Supports Royal Mail’s Not Yet Built™ File
New system enhances forward marketing planning and identifies potential future customers
Capscan, a leading supplier of international address management solutions and data integrity services, today announced that its Matchcode range of software now supports Royal Mail’s Not Yet Built™ file. Not Yet Built™ enables marketers to accurately capture and validate delivery points relating to new residential and commercial developments in the UK, providing an essential tool for market intelligence and the forward planning of campaigns.
Containing up to 300,000 new build property records at any one time, Not Yet Built™ is a new system created and maintained by Royal Mail and receives new delivery point data on a daily basis as soon as planning permission is granted. It is available for integration into any Matchcode product and is ideally suited to organisations like utility companies, credit referencing agencies, retailers and education authorities. Accurately capturing a Not Yet Built™ record using Matchcode DC not only identifies where correspondence and goods should be delivered but also enables marketers to find out where their potential future customers are.
“Not Yet Built™ provides added value of market intelligence and a competitive advantage where businesses can really benefit,” comments Managing Director of Capscan, Terry Hiles. “We all know that postcodes and geo-demographic data can be used for a variety of marketing and targeting activities but in the past those properties under construction would have been missed out. Eventually that property will be granted a full address, added to the Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File (PAF) and house a potential customer, which through Not Yet Built™ marketers can identify targeting opportunities well in advance.”
With Not Yet Built™, the Matchcode system ensures that up-to-date delivery point data relating to property under construction is added to the marketing database. By entering the delivery point’s postcode into Matchcode, users can select the appropriate record from the returned options. Regular batch cleansing using Matchcode Batch ensures that Not Yet Built™ records are replaced with PAF records as necessary, maintaining a high quality marketing database.
Not Yet Built™ is available for Matchcode from Capscan today.
