Capscan Offers Free Data Quality Management Survey Results Whitepaper To Visitors At TFM&A

Capscan, a leading supplier of UK and international address management solutions and data integrity services, will make available the results of a new independent survey of Data Quality Management (DQM) practice at TFM&A. Visitors to stand A34 will be able to take a free copy of the survey whitepaper entitled ‘Data Quality: Perception Versus Reality’ and also register for a free health check of their own customer data.

“DQM is the theme for TFM&A this year. For many, 2009 marketing budgets have been tightly squeezed, yet the pressure to do more with less in order to succeed in such a highly competitive climate has never been greater,” comments Managing Director of Capscan, Terry Hiles. “There is no margin for error or wastage during the execution of outbound campaigns and customers are demanding optimum levels of professionalism and service at all times. Worryingly, less than half of respondents to the survey – conducted on behalf of Capscan by the independent analyst and data management expert, Graham Rhind – stated that they had a DQM policy in place and a large number of those polled considered DQM to be the responsibility of IT and not the marketing department.

Visitors to stand A34 will be able to enter a prize draw to win an iPhone and be eligible to receive a free, no obligation, data health check for up to 2,000 contact data records, designed to help achieve a better understanding of the rate of data decay and the hygiene levels that exist in their own databases. Hiles explains, “With data decay estimated to be in the region of 20% each year, this is an ideal way to begin benchmarking the quality of customer records and taking action to stop the rot.”
